Name: Thinking Outside The Box Stall: An Introduction To Cooperative Horse Care
    Date: August 16, 2019
    Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM PDT
    Event Description:
Modern horse keeping is a world away from the natural way that horses have exisited in the word. From being stalled to concentreted feeding to traditional training methods, quality of life and performance both suffer when a horse expresses anxiety, boredom, or frustration. We will help you to identify the causes of your horse’s stress and resistance, establish clear, two-way communication and build a safer and more successful and willing partnership. Cooperative Care is an “outside the box” approach to training that emphasizes low-stress handling and evidence-based techniques. This short Friday session is an overview of the weekend course. It will help open eyes to alternative and enriched ways to live and prosper with your equine friends, be they high performance athletes or pasture pals. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
