    About Us

    Custom Equestrian Jumps.
I began making equestrian jumps for some friends and 4-H kids in 2011 in Baker City, OR. This grew into the Angry Monkey Workshop; a side business/hobby where I build custom jumps one at a time. This has been a great fit for me, as I love working with wood and being around horses. I also really enjoy watching kids and adults building confidence along with their horses in the area of jumping.

My wife and I moved to Turner, OR (next to Salem), in the summer of 2016. I look forward to meeting new people (and horses), and making jumps that everyone will enjoy going over. I make a variety of jumps and am always looking for new ideas. I am also open to customer ideas as long as they are safe and sane for both horse and rider. My jumps are solid wood and built to last.

    Highlights

Cavallettis are a very practical tool for English and Western riding. With three easily adjustable heights (12”, 18”, 24”), they are designed to help a horse improve his balance, adjust his length of stride, and to loosen and strengthen his muscles while encouraging alertness and timing.

Setting up ground pole exercises in your arena or field is a great way to make flatwork more interesting.
A plank jump is very simple and can be adjusted to 12” off the ground for a novice jumper or moved up to the desired height for a more experienced jumper.
Gate jumps are nice looking obstacles for going over, and easy to move. (24"x10' gate jump on 4' schooling standards)
(24"x10' gate jump on 5' schooling standards - custom paint)
(24"x10' gate jump on 5' wing standards)
Brush boxes are normally 12” and 24” in height. They are designed to hold tall grass, flowers, and various forms of brush for a more natural looking jumping obstacle. They can also be used as-is for a jump. (24" brush box)
Wall jumps are a solid 24” high, but can be raised to a height of your choosing. (24"x10' wall jump on 4' schooling standards)

Roll tops are a fixed 24” high. They provide a more natural looking jump. (Two 24"x5' roll tops)
Jumps, standards, cavallettis, and ground poles can be painted in any color with multiple design patterns.
My jumps are custom made. Do you have an idea? Maybe jumping over train tracks?
