Water is Life for Horses - Can you help The Duchess Sanctuary?

An essential part of caring for horses and donkeys, or any animal species, is providing clean water to drink. The sanctuary is lucky to have a large, spring-fed pond that we draw water from with a pump. The water is then filtered and treated to make it safe for drinking. The pump house holds all of the necessary equipment, and a back-up generator was installed to provide power when our electricity goes out. Being in such a rural area, we have periodic outages lasting from hours to entire days. The generator kicks on and runs the well pump and filtration system, keeping our waterers, troughs, buckets, and water lines filled and operating. It was critical during the awful snow storm in early March when we were without power for a week!

Now, the generator has died, and needs to be replaced. Repairing the old one isn't possible. Our electrician is already working on the project, and we'll get it done as quickly as we can. But we need your help. The total cost for a new generator and installation is $5900.

Can you help with a gift today and ensure we are prepared for the next power outage? Thank you for your support!
